InhibOx
- On the 5th March 2009, ULS signed an exclusive license with InhibOx for the development and commercialisation of TACE inhibitors for inflammatory and oncology indications.
- TACE is a member of a family of zinc metalloproteases and is an important regulator of inflammation, due to its ability to catalyse the activation of TNFa from a membrane to a soluble form.
- Using a structure based approach, InhibOx have identified novel small molecule inhibitors of TACE with low nanomolar activity and a highly selective inhibition profile.
- The compounds have a good ADME profile and also demonstrate activity in cell based screens.
- ULS has obtained an exclusive license to the associated IP with the intention of further development and commercialisation.
